Description
We are seeking an Activities Assistant to join MICC’s vibrant evening and weekend programming team. This role is all about creating meaningful, enjoyable experiences for our adult participants through activities, clubs, and community outings. You’ll help lead and support events that encourage connection, skill‑building, and independence, while ensuring everyone feels welcomed and included. From game nights to local excursions, no two shifts are the same, and your creativity will help shape the experience.

Schedule5:00 PM - 9:30 PM one weekday per week (Monday and Friday preferred) and two full weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) per month
Essential Functions- Supervision of participants in evening and weekend recreation and leisure programming to ensure a positive experience
- Participate in leading activities, clubs, electives, and excursions
- Provide elective course instruction in the categories around the T.E.A.C.H. framework as needed, including subbing for elective instructors as needed
- Educate participants in the surrounding areas of Richfield, Bloomington, and Edina, including ongoing education in public transportation for programming to support independence
- Provide transportation and support for scheduled shuttles to grocery stores, YMCA, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma required, some college or Associate's degree preferred
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary
- A valid Minnesota driver's license in good standing is required
- Must reside in Minnesota
