Production Material Controller 2nd shift
Join as a key member of the Operations team at Siemens Energy’s Grid Technologies Products (GT PR) business unit in Richland, MS. You will coordinate material deliveries from the warehouse to ensure timely and accurate supply for multiple product groups within the factory, collaborating closely with production supervisors and planners to support efficient production processes and maintain optimal inventory levels. The role plays a vital part in the overall operational performance of the site.

- Request required materials from the warehouse, ensuring accuracy in type, quantity, and timing.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to guarantee timely delivery to the correct production locations.
- Collaborate closely with production supervisors and production planners to anticipate material needs based on production schedules and forecasts.
- Track inventory levels and report discrepancies or potential shortages to relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and transactions.
- Resolve material‑related issues promptly to prevent production delays.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Identify opportunities to improve material flow and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to company policies and safety procedures related to material handling.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or related field is a plus.
- Experience in material control, inventory management, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP software is an advantage.
