The Accountant is responsible for providing technical accounting expertise and support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and processes. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements, and supporting financial audits and system enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience with ERP systems.

• Provide specialized accounting support for financial systems, including general ledger, budgeting, cost accounting, payroll, and asset management modules.
• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and databases.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement; prepare supporting documentation and analysis for management review.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
• Contribute to the preparation of tax certifications, surveys, and other regulatory financial submissions.
• Collaborate with internal departments to enhance financial reporting and system functionality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with an emphasis in Accounting, and at least 6 years of relevant experience; or
• Associate’s degree with 8 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance; or
• High school diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as People Soft, Passport, or similar platforms preferred.
