Project Controls & Assurance Analyst
Energy Northwest seeks a Project Controls & Assurance Analyst to serve as a trusted advisor by providing business consulting to designated project groups across Capital and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects. The role promotes sound business decisions and best practices in planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial analysis, schedule/cost control, and risk management.
Base Pay Range$61,016.00/yr – $/yr
Principal Accountabilities- Provide Project Controls oversight of assigned Capital and O&M projects and adhere to Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Regularly collaborate with department members and external customers.
- Offer technical direction and support to project managers through regular touch‑base meetings.
- Develop project cost schedule using project cost estimates and project manager input.
- Monitor project performance against baseline schedule, analyzing variances, forecasting, and trends.
- Provide monthly analysis and financial summaries to supported managers and Corporate Finance.
- Recommend corrective actions to recover cost and schedule deviations back to the established baseline.
- Recommend changes to the Long‑Range Plan based on current project performance and lessons learned.
- Align project schedule, estimate, and risk register.
- Conduct project assurance reviews, identifying and managing risks.
- Process approved project baseline changes following the change management process.
- Process monthly journal entries into the financial system and review for accuracy before posting.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new Project Controls staff.
Perform special assignments, exhibit leadership qualities, and demonstrate proficiencies through experience and education.
Participate in the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) when designated and support biennial refueling outages.

- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, business, or finance with 5 years of industrial‑level project scheduling experience.
- OR AA degree with 7 years of industrial‑level project scheduling, budgeting, or risk‑related experience.
- OR high school diploma/GED with 8 years of industrial‑level project scheduling, budgeting, or risk‑related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of industrial‑level project scheduling experience.
- OR AA degree with 5 years of industrial‑level project scheduling, budgeting, or risk‑related experience.
- OR high school diploma/GED with 6 years of industrial‑level project scheduling, budgeting, or risk‑related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of industrial‑level project scheduling experience.
- OR AA degree with 3 years of industrial‑level project scheduling, budgeting, or risk‑related experience.

Eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan. Incentives earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
