Paul Mitchell The School Richland is seeking a qualified Future Professional Advisor (Student Advisor) to join our family.
We offer an education second to none, along with opportunities such as fundraising, monthly team trainings, student clubs and activities, fashion shows, photo shoots and more.
Future Professional Advisor RoleThe Future Professional Advisor is essential in creating and maintaining a positive and safe learning environment. They act as the liaison between the management team and the student body, coach and accountability buddy for Future Professionals, and help keep them on track with attendance, academics, and overall performance. The Advisor monitors all student programs, creates and manages the education calendar, clinic floor staffing calendar, and annual team education training calendar.
They maintain consistency with school policies and systems, provide support for students and staff, and devise improvement plans when necessary.
Ideal candidates have a strong advising or education background, passion, strong organizational and communication skills, high commitment, and ability to guide and motivate others. They should understand that they are not a professional counselor and cannot provide counseling on issues requiring a licensed professional.
Skills/Competencies Required- Experience in a cosmetology school is preferred
- Excellent organization, coaching, and communication skills
- Skills in supervision, teamwork, and documentation
- Solid work history with verifiable references
- Passion for the beauty industry
- Honesty and professionalism
Salary: $23 - $25 per hour
