The Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center is seeking instructors for a 560‑hour Basic Law Enforcement Academy, a 200‑hour Basic Corrections Academy, and various in‑service courses offered at the facility.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrate proficiency in your area of expertise.
• Pass a background check (if applicable).
• Have successfully passed a recognized Instructor Development School (IDS) and obtained instructor certification through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and/or a local Mobile Training Unit.
If you do not have the IDS or certifications, you must work with the MCLETC Commander or designee to obtain these requirements before employment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Physical ability to meet the demands of an instructor role.
Salary
$28‑$33 per hour.
