Position Title: Adult Education Instructor Part-Time (grant-funded continuous recruitment)

• Coordinate and teach classes for adult education (AE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) students.
• Provide current and organized instruction in classroom using sound, comprehensive principles.
• Deliver differentiated instruction combining direct instruction, guided practice, group work, and individual application to meet student needs.
• Adapt instruction to meet student needs.
• Supervise and evaluate student learning in the classroom and other teaching environments.
• Provide continual monitoring and feedback of student progress.
• Assist with assessment and enrollment of students.
• Inform AE staff of student problems/issues.
• Consult with students regarding learning needs and performance.
• Establish appropriate education and employability plans with students and conduct counseling activities, especially at off‑campus sites.
• Report attendance and student progress as required.
• Complete 12 hours of state‑required professional development annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Required Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field; computer knowledge; experience working with diverse populations.
• Preferred Master’s Degree in Adult Education, ESL or related field; three years teaching experience in adult education; knowledge of community and social services agencies.

Must be able to receive, process, and provide visual and verbal information; work effectively in stressful situations; provide timely response to external/internal conditions and deadlines; respond to concurrent, multiple, non‑related issues; occasional irregular hours and travel.

$35 per hour.
