Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one‑of‑a‑kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.
Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year‑round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50‑mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three‑hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.
Job Summary:In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data associated with long-range planning efforts through the life-cycle mission of the High-Level Waste Facility Project. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with scenario modeling. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives.

This position is a full-time role that offers part-time telework flexibility in the Richland, Washington project office. Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position will require full time presence in the Richland, Washington project office, then may offer part-time telework flexibility. This position works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
Please be advised that the telework designation of the position may be changed in the future at the discretion of the company or project.
Major Responsibilities:- Prepares schedule data for long-range planning and proposals inclusive of estimate details for professional staff, craft and capital dollars
- Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty within Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing and Commissioning/Operations
- Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
- Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties inclusive of constraint management regarding funds availability, staffing ramp / density, and spend / commitment budget authorization
- Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports, release and installation curves, staffing profiles and other bi-products of the schedule
- Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
- Assists with schedule recovery plans and scenario modeling
