. This role focuses on advanced probabilistic safety analysis (PSA) and offers a competitive base pay ranging from $92,750.00 to $ per year.
$92,750.00/yr – $/yr
Principal Accountabilities- Perform highly complex PSA tasks, including plant support for PARAGON work‑control risk management, PSA model ownership/upgrade and maintenance, and risk‑informed evaluations supporting NOED submittals and Tech Spec surveillance extensions.
- Provide leadership to small groups, offering guidance on complex, technology‑specific problems and delivering technical direction to engineers and operators.
- Serve as an advisor, mentor, and trainer for PSA engineers in training, fostering continuous professional development.
- Identify potential issues or improvement areas related to PSA activities or operations support and initiate corrective action through the plant Condition Report (CR) process.
- Participate in industry working groups and other discipline‑related activities.
- Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties, including 24/7 on‑call during required team duty (2 weeks out of every 8 weeks).
- 12‑hour work shifts during outages as part of outage support (24/7) in the Outage Command Center and Engineering Outage Center.
- Engineering duty cycle support (24/7) with call‑out availability during responsible duty assignment (typically 1 week).
Education and Experience
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution and at least eight years of engineering experience, including a minimum of two years in probabilistic safety tasks or risk‑management software tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained by accredited examination, a high school diploma or GED, and at least eight years of engineering experience with a minimum of two years in probabilistic safety tasks or risk‑management tools.
- Alternate pathway: a diverse assignment that demonstrates knowledge and experience in a non‑core engineering discipline, with a significant change in job tasks.
- Three‑year pathway:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and three years of engineering experience, or PE license plus three years of experience, each including a minimum of two years in probabilistic safety tasks or risk‑management tools in a high‑consequence industrial environment. - One‑year pathway:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and one year of engineering experience, or PE license plus one year of experience; high school diploma or GED required.
