Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.

The Senior Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer operates as part of the OT Cybersecurity group reporting to the Engineering Group Supervisor (EGS). The Senior OT Cybersecurity Engineer has a key role in developing and delivering design engineering products to meet Department of Energy (DOE) cybersecurity requirements and security controls. These products will be integrated into other WTP systems and processes. A good knowledge of the design engineering work process and industry OT governance frameworks, procedures, and practices is important to success.

The ideal candidate will have experience successfully working with Systems Engineering, OT Cybersecurity, and Control Systems in the specification, design, and deployment of highly reliable and secure environments that meet the customer mandated cybersecurity requirements. The Senior OT Cyber Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting cybersecurity requirements and determining appropriate implementations for WTP permanent plant systems. This position will be a critical and independent contributor in the design engineering process;

originating discipline deliverables and coordinating activities with multiple functions and disciplines as well as with internal and external stakeholders, as required. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs. Additionally, the position requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Part-Time Telework:
This position is a full-time role that offers part-time telework flexibility in the Richland, Washington project office. Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position will require full time presence in the Richland, Washington project office, then may offer part-time telework flexibility. This position works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
