This is an advanced position requiring thorough knowledge of process engineering theories, practices, and accepted procedures. Requires skill in engineering and design of chemical, industrial, and complex mechanical processes; and experience developing Block Flow Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and supporting analyses/documents; and the review and revision of existing designs, procedures, or objectives as necessary.

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Minimum of eleven (11) years of applicable experience.
• Working knowledge of maintenance practices, industrial safety, and Conduct of Operations.
• Experience with products generated by other engineering disciplines (i.e., P&IDs).
• Proficient in engineering software applications.
• Proficient in MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education.
• Must be a United States citizen.

• Experience working on a Department of Energy (DOE) site.
• Current/active Professional Engineering license.
• Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings.
• Well-developed knowledge of applicable technologies and/or products.
• Able to work independently on projects and/or play a key role in broader projects.
• Rely on systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications of the work being performed to solve problems.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with respect to equipment troubleshooting, deficiency trending and failure prediction.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
• Able to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Effective communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences, as well as working in team environments.
• Experience working under DOE Orders and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Work may be performed in a variety of locations depending on the client and project requirements.
