You may have also acquired the following skills:
- Mechanical and construction experience (including piping, electrical knowledge, equipment layout and testing and commissioning of new processes and equipment).
- Machine design and manufacturing methods experience (Process equipment design, HVAC system design, Machining, Sheet metal, Welding, Forming etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously and receive minimal assistance / instruction on most assignments and solutions.
- Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables) and is able to adapt with flexibility.
- Familiarity with Solid Works and/or AutoCAD

As an Experienced Mechanical Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Department of Fuel Operations (DOF) Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit.
You’ll join a team of diverse engineers to develop and demonstrate innovative solutions and value-added technologies focusing on supplying fuel, fuel components, and fabrication processes and facilities for next generation nuclear power plants. These solutions will ultimately be deployed into a new, state of the art, advanced reactor fuel fabrication facility designed and constructed at the Richland site. Your work will include:
- Perform non-standard engineering, varied engineering, and new-to-you assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications for tasks not previously performed.
This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required. Any employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

The range of base salary for the position is between $92,000 - $124,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses…
