WhatYou’ll Do Day-To-Day
- Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.
- Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
- Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
- Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
- Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
- Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
- Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
- Works on special projects, as directed. Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
- Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.
- Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.

You may have also acquired the following skills:
- Leadership experience supervising direct reports across multi-discipline work groups of engineers and technical specialists. Disciplines may include mechanical, chemical, electrical, and instrumentation & control
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering and technical standards, techniques, and criteria; demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates, other work groups, and suppliers
- At least 10 years in an electrical engineering and experience in industrial automation, instrumentation and controls is preferred
- Preferred skills include design/program of PLCs (Allen Bradley), Oversee of field work including new installations, integration into existing systems, and troubleshooting
- Strong management capabilities: ability to identify and grow talent, build a sense of community within a team, and improve the output of another engineer
- Experience in overseeing instrumentation calibration programs
Total Rewards Package
- Salary: $123,000 - $167,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
