JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Facility Operations Specialist (General Support Services for Hanford Field Office) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector, focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as the U.S. Department of Energy – Environmental Management/Hanford Field Office. Location generally CONUS, Richland, Washington, and across the Pacific Northwest Region. Science, engineering, and construction oversight to ensure safe designs, efficient operations, and progress toward Hanford cleanup.
RESPONSIBILITIESAND DUTIES
- Facility walkdowns, review operating logs, and coordinate maintenance.
- Provide expertise across physical sciences, civil/structural engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, fire protection engineering, instrumentation and control, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, work inspection, field engineering management, and construction compliance.
- Support operations oversight including commissioning, deactivation and decommissioning, and environmental remediation (soil and groundwater remediation, and waste and nuclear material stabilization and disposition).
- Work location:
Pacific Northwest Region, CONUS – Richland, Washington. Initial work site: 2440 Stevens Center Place, H520 Richland, WA 99354.
Pro Sidian seeks a Facility Operations Specialist with relevant Environmental Management sector experience (functional and technical expertise preferred) to support professional services engagements for Environmental Management Sector clients such as DOE. Position may be contract contingent or W-2; potential conversion to full-time W-2 employment at Pro Sidian’s discretion. Prior experience in science, engineering, design support, construction and operations oversight is desirable for the General Support Services (GSS) role for Hanford Field Office (HFO).
Other considerations include willingness to work in a federal, regulated, high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment requiring multidisciplinary contractor support, compliance oversight, and mission assurance.
