AMRP Project Controls Support Specialist

Location: Richland, WA (onsite) Hanford Field Office

Employment Type: Full-Time (3 Positions Available)

Clearance: Must meet DOE site-specific safety and security requirements

About the Role

In support of the Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO), we are seeking three highly skilled Project Support Specialists to provide critical support to the Assistant Manager for the River and Plateau (AMRP). One position will serve as Lead Coordinator
, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. These roles are essential to advancing Hanford’s environmental cleanup mission and supporting complex project management activities.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the AMRP support team, you will:

  • Earned Value, Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze project performance using Earned Value Management principles, identify trends, and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Budget & Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing integrated annual budget requests, analyze contractor spend plans, and support strategic planning.
  • Baseline Management: Evaluate schedules, analyze critical paths, and support life-cycle planning, risk assessments, and baseline reviews.
  • Capital Projects & Contract Management: Provide support for DOE Order 413.3B processes, review statements of work, assist with proposals, and manage contract change control.
  • Audits & Reviews: Prepare for project reviews, support GAO audits, and ensure compliance with DOE standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: BA in a relevant field (or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree).
  • Experience: At least 10 years in project controls/project management (in addition to any experience used to substitute for education).
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and Primavera (P6).
  • Familiarity with DOE systems such as OEMS, PARS 2, HANDI, COBRA.
  • Knowledge of DOE Order 413.3B and Hanford environmental cleanup activities.
  • Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration.
