Pro Sidian Seeks a Communications Specialist [DOE
0019018] for Program Support on an Exempt W2:
No Overtime Pay Basis Contract Contingent generally located across the CONUS - Richland, Washington. Supports DOE EM Hanford in a federal, regulated, high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment requiring multidisciplinary contractor support, compliance oversight, and mission assurance.
The Communications Specialist supports Environmental Management Sector Clients such as DOE. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) administrative support, communications, public affairs and stakeholder relations role for Hanford Field Office (HFO). Pro Sidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time employed W-2 position.
Responsibilities and Duties- Public affairs, stakeholder engagement, fact sheets, HAB coordination.
- Provide Administrative Support, Communications, Public Affairs and Stakeholder Relations functions.
- The role is located in the Pacific Northwest Region, near CONUS Richland, Washington. Work site: 2440 Stevens Center Place, H520 Richland, Washington 99354 (subject to change; remote work may be allowed).
Desired Qualifications — 5–8+ years in communications/public affairs; DOE experience helpful.
Education / Experience — BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, or related field; 5–8+ years in communications/public affairs; DOE experience helpful. Supports Administrative Support, Communications, Public Affairs and Stakeholder Relations within Environmental Management Sector.
SkillsPrimarily focused on program and project management support in daily activities, aligned with Administrative Support, Communications, Public Affairs and Stakeholder Relations functions. Writing, facilitation, media and event planning.
Competencies- Clarity, diplomacy, listening.
- Develop stakeholder briefings tied to milestones.
- Functional attributes include technical communications/content.
- Job tasks related to Hanford Field Office GSS; staffing levels may vary by up to ±15% over the period of performance.
- Travel: as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing; in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
- Security:
Facility Clearance required; DOE clearance as indicated for work performed. - Place of Performance:
Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, Richland, Washington; on-site with some approved remote support. - Government-Furnished Resources:
Office space, computer workstations, and required software provided at HFO; primarily on-site performance.
Evening meetings may be required.
