Olsson Industrial Electric is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee HR operations at our Richland, WA location. Working with and reporting to the Director of Human Resources in Springfield, Oregon, this role provides onsite HR leadership, ensures compliant and efficient HR processes, and supports employees and leadership.
Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day HR operations for the Richland location.
- Lead staffing, recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, employee relations, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; assist with policy updates.
- Coordinate training, development, and employee engagement activities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategy with company goals.
- Maintain HRIS data and support system implementation and improvements.
- Facilitate professional development and training.
- Manage and respond to compliance audit requests.
- Perform additional HR duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn HRIS system.
- 5 + years of HR experience; HR management or leadership experience preferred.
- Professional, approachable, and collaborative.
- High emotional intelligence and sound judgement.
- Strong initiative and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Commitment to exceptional internal customer service.
- Willingness to travel to Springfield, OR approximately quarterly.
- $90,+, DOE
