OverviewACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. The Nuclear Project Manager II oversees projects and programs under $10 million, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, and control with minimal supervision. Leading teams of more than ten members, this role manages complex, multidiscipline initiatives requiring strong leadership and strategic coordination. Responsibilities include setting priorities, monitoring processes, and recommending improvements for efficiency.
The manager maintains knowledge of emerging technologies, manages budgets in collaboration with finance and project controls, and coordinates with other managers. Additionally, they mentor project managers and act as a supervisor when needed. Proficient in all aspects of project management, this role demands exceptional leadership and mentoring skills. This full‑time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay range: $63.45 - $96.55

- Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on‑line work as assigned, providing oversight of the staff involved in the plan, lead, control, and monitor to ensure that work is implemented safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
- Include all aspects of project implementation including budget, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, clearance order preparation, work prioritization, resource loading, risk management, and work execution including resolution of schedule delays and conflicts.
- Develop the budgets, track cost versus budget for assigned projects.
- Assure proper progress and focus through frequent interface with the client, engineers, related parties, and management.
- Develop and manage contracts and interface with vendors.
- Develop project schedules commensurate with project complexity and size with the goal of managing risk, accurately tracking progress, enforcing accountability, and managing critical path and float.
- Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups including senior management.
- Develop and maintain long‑range plan strategies associated with assigned projects.
- Support effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self‑Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
- Outage support including OCC.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university and 14 years of experience in a technical field;
- OR an AA/AS degree and 16 years of experience in a technical field;
- OR a High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of experience in a technical field.
- An advanced degree in a related field of study or business may be accepted in lieu of 2 years of experience.
- Project Management certification is required.
- RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification.
- Construction Management Certification is preferred.
- Extensive work experience as a direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry environment, focused on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
- Nuclear plant operator production coordination experience and work management experience in conducting and coordinating plant production work.
- Knowledge of error reduction and human performance improvement methods, and cost‑effective work execution methodologies.
