Role
Summary:
The Developer II will play a crucial role in the development, enhancement, and support of our applications. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Sr. Developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our banking operations. The Developer II is expected to stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our applications remain competitive and secure.
Note:
* The Developer II position has the ability to work fully remote from Washington, Oregon or Idaho.*
What You Will Be Doing:
Work with Project Managers, Product Owners, and other developers to develop custom software applicationsDesign, develop, and test code in alignment with Gesa’s coding standardDevelop custom WEB APIs to integrate software componentsWrite unit tests as needed for their or other’s software componentsDesign and implement security measures for their assigned application areaMaintain knowledge of current and evolving technology, evaluate changes in or new technology, and provide Senior Developers with information relevant to new technologies (hardware, software, or services) that could be beneficialMaintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications and systemProvide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applicationsAbout You:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and problem-solving skillsExperience in an agile and scrum environmentA working knowledge of web security principles and other security systemsAbility to analyze information and recommend achievable process improvements to managementSelf-motivated and able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple complex tasksQualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent of specialized courses, training, and/or directly related experience may be substitutedA minimum of three years of similar or related functional and technical experience. At least one (1) year of Mulesoft development preferredMust be familiar with at least one modern front-end technology like AngularMust be familiar with at least one modern back-end technology like NodeJS express, or .NETExperience with at least one modern database tool like SQL Server or OracleExperience with GIT source controlExperience working and developing against REST and SOAP API’sExperience with an integration platform like MulesoftMule Soft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Preferred)Mule Soft Certified Developer – Level 2 (Preferred)Specific coding languages include but are not limited to: C#, Typescript, JavaScript and JavaFamiliar with microservices architecture and container technology like DockerKnowledge of the Financial Industry, products, and services.
