Echocardiology Technician

Overview

Echocardiology Tech — Day Shift at Clinch Valley Health, part of Lifepoint Health. Join a mission to make communities healthier through quality cardiovascular imaging and patient care.

• Operate and control ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images and process studies appropriately.
• Schedule same-day add-on exams and work with the scheduling department to schedule exams efficiently.
• Assist, transfer, and immobilize patients using proper techniques and devices.
• CPR certification is required.
• Interview patients, review orders and history, and review prior images and reports.
• Assist the cardiologist/radiologist as needed.
• Assist in transporting patients to and from the department as needed.
• Accurately enter charges for exams and supplies.
• May be required to perform other assignments as requested by the Department Leader.
• Rotate call, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Applicants should have an associate degree and be registered RDCS by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
