Phlebotomist, PRN – Lifepoint Health

Clinch Valley Health is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities coast to coast. As a Phlebotomist, you will provide essential venipuncture and specimen collection services in a supportive environment, ensuring accurate results for patient care.

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks, process laboratory tests, and document results for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
• Follow all CLIA and COLA requirements and regulations.
• Serve as a back‑up for clinical team members and laboratory registration as needed.
• Obtain blood specimens per laboratory orders, process tests, and document results.
• Communicate with and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Review the laboratory schedule, verify orders, confirm patient records, and monitor and resolve orders in the electronic medical record.
• Complete appropriate laboratory forms and lab requisition forms, produce labels, and enter patient demographics, tests, and diagnoses into the EMR.
• Order and maintain adequate laboratory supplies.
• Clean and maintain the laboratory and equipment.
• Perform laboratory registrations as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in phlebotomy from an accredited college or university.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
