Sr. Accountant

• Prepare period end reports, analysis and reconciliations to support the organization’s monthly and annual financial reporting requirements
• Compile multiple entity trial balances and prepare consolidated financial statements in Microsoft Excel
• Review, prepare or post journal entries as needed to accurately close our period end
• Work closely with cross-functional departments to provide regular reporting and ensure proper coding of expenses and journal entries
• Liaise and assist with various financial statement and other audits
• Partner with project managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements with implementation of new systems or enhancement of existing systems
• Continuous improvement of various financial and sales tool systems (IFS, SM1) with enhanced process and procedures recommendations
• Work with all stakeholders to drive efficiencies, save costs and challenge the status quo to ensure targets are delivered

• 3+ years of progressive work experience in accounting
• Advanced skill level working with Microsoft Excel, and demonstrated ability working with other Microsoft Office products
• Familiarity with IFS is an asset, but not required
• Experienced in preparing consolidated, multi-currency financial statements and notes
• Experienced in full cycle accounting and managing period end close processes

• This is a one year contract
• Until training is complete and the probation period over (three months) you will be in the office 5 days a week, and then the role will move to hybrid (three days a week)
• Annual salary between $80,000 - $100,000
