Make an impact at TuGo as an Accounting Assistant, focusing on accounts payable and receivable functions. Utilize your detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in financial operations.
In this position, you will handle daily A/P tasks, reconcile accounts, and prepare cheque runs while maintaining diligent record-keeping. Your critical thinking skills will be essential in resolving discrepancies and improving the customer experience. Collaboration with other teams is vital to achieving performance targets and maintaining our core values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute daily coding of invoices and journal entries
• Reconcile various accounts monthly, including A/R and agent compensation
• Assist in preparing cheque runs for suppliers and claims
• Conduct month-end closing entries and account reconciliations
• Report any A/R/AP discrepancies to the Team Lead
Requirements:
• Enrollment in a business/accounting program or diploma
• At least 6 months of relevant experience
• Proficient data entry skills and MS Office proficiency
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Customer-focused with a commitment to learning
