Senior Accountant Opportunity – 12 Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension/Permanent)

Our client, a large multi-national publicly listed organization, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team for an initial 12-month term. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company with robust long-term potential.

Hybrid Work Model: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for full-cycle corporate accounting activities for both the Canadian and US corporate entities. The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on corporate accounting experience, solid US GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards
• Partner cross‑functionally with finance and operational stakeholders across Canada and the US
• Support continuous process improvements and accounting efficiencies

• CPA/CA designated
• 3+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience
• Strong hands‑on US GAAP accounting knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• SAP experience is considered a strong asset
• Ability and desire to work onsite in Aurora 3 days per week
