Financial Accountant

Position: Financial Accountant at Norsat International
Join Norsat International Inc. as a Financial Accountant focused on general accounting and financial analysis. Collaborate with finance and other departments for accurate financial reporting.

As a Financial Accountant, you will engage in diverse financial tasks including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Essential skills include proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Excel, and Power BI. This role involves working within a supportive environment that emphasizes growth and compliance in financial practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals

• Monitor balance sheets and income statements for accuracy

• Support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and project accounting

• Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis

• Assist with audit schedules and corporate tax filings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 2+ years of accounting experience, public or industry

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting

• Proficient in Excel;
Power BI experience preferred

• Excellent attention to detail with problem-solving skills
