Support month-end close at Trail Appliances with journal entries, reconciliations, and strong Excel skills in this accounting role.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Junior Accountant maintains accurate financial records and supports business insights. This position suits an accounting professional progressing toward a CPA designation. You will contribute to close activities, financial analysis, compliance, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and post month-end journal entries and accruals
- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyze monthly results and support variance analysis
- Process statutory remittances and maintain documentation
- Support audits, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements
- Two or more years in junior accounting or similar
- Progress toward a CPA designation
- Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Problem-solving skills and collaborative priority management
