Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Junior Accountant supports month-end close and provides financial insights to the business. This role suits an accounting professional progressing toward a CPA designation. Key work includes journal entries, bank reconciliations, variance analysis, and statutory remittances.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and post month-end journal entries
- Complete daily bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyze monthly results and support variance analysis
- Process statutory remittances and supporting documentation
- Assist with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements
- Two or more years in junior accounting or similar work
- Progress toward a CPA designation
- Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
