Reporting to the Financial Controller, this Junior Accountant contributes to month-end close and financial reporting activities. The position supports bank and balance sheet reconciliations, statutory remittances, and monthly result analysis. It also offers accounting professionals pursuing a CPA designation the opportunity to build relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records through journal entries
Reconcile daily bank activity and balance sheet accounts
Investigate discrepancies and support internal control compliance
Maintain statutory remittance schedules and documentation
Support annual reviews, audits, budgets, and forecasts
Requirements:
Two or more years of junior accounting experience
Progress toward a CPA designation
Proficiency with Excel and financial data analysis
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Collaborative approach when managing multiple priorities
Bring careful reconciliation, documentation, and analysis skills to Trail Appliances’ Financial Controller-led accounting team.
