The candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.

The candidate will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of automotive systems.

The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.

The candidate will be responsible for testing and adjusting repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications.

The candidate must estimate the parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.

The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.

The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.

The candidate will be responsible for advising customers on the work completed and future repair requirements.

The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.

The candidate will be responsible for coaching and instructing apprentices.

The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.

The candidate must have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.

The candidate must have an Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate.

The candidate should be accurate.

The candidate should be dependable.

Area of specialization

The candidate must be knowledgeable about Engine repair, 4-wheel drive, Electrical and electronic system and Auto body repair.

Transportation/travel information

The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.

The candidate must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.

The candidate should have an eye for details.

Own tools/equipment

The candidate must have tools.
