Roles and Responsibilities

Ensure safe transport and use of any and all company property.

Be aware of and report to the department manager any area of concern regarding supplies, equipment, or other issues concerning the care of and delivery of a quality product.

Report to a member of management any hazardous condition deemed an emergency.

Use business systems, platforms, and technology effectively.

Understand the importance of exceeding our customers’ expectations regarding vehicle delivery condition.

Ensure excellent customer service is provided to all guests and interact professionally.

Start all vehicles, check for dead batteries and recharge any that are dead.

Keep inventory arranged in a neat and orderly fashion and clean at all times, including ensuring showroom vehicles are spotless daily.

Wash vehicles after service tasks are complete.

Advise the Pre‑Owned Manager of any noted problems with used vehicles.

Keep the work area free of debris and trash from vehicles.

Keep the delivery area free of other vehicles and debris.

Maintain all grounds and facilities, both internal and external, in a clean, presentable order.

Keep the work station neat, tidy, organized, and put all supplies in order at the end of the day.

During winter months, shovel, sand, and clear doorways. Also clear snow and ice from cars in the lot.

Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers.

Perform duties such as picking up and delivering parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership departments.

Carry out tasks directed by the Sales or Service Manager (e.g., washing customers’ cars, emptying trash containers, or other tasks that assist the smooth flow of the company).

Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

Valid British Columbia driver’s license, with a clean driver’s abstract.

Ability to work cooperatively with other employees.

Ability to operate assigned equipment.

Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.

Attention to detail and high quality control standards.

Ability to work effectively against deadlines.
