The Senior Estimator role calls for a strong candidate with over four years in estimating, preferably in the general contracting arena. You will build and lead the in-house estimating function, working closely with stakeholders to prepare comprehensive estimates that drive project success. Your expertise in building types will be crucial as you ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze drawings and specifications to finalize estimates
• Engage in meetings to clarify client and consultant needs
• Prepare and optimize tender requests for new projects
• Generate material takeoffs using estimating software
• Create preliminary project schedules for accurate timelines
Requirements:
• At least 4 years of estimating experience
• Prior general contractor experience essential
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• In-depth knowledge of construction costs and project schedules
• Advanced skills in MS Office and estimating tools
