Video editing will be the largest part of the role, but we don’t want someone who simply waits for editing instructions.
You should be able to recognize a strong hook, find the best moment in raw footage, improve pacing and storytelling, and spot opportunities to turn one piece of content into several.
We’re looking for a talented video editor with strong social-media instincts to work with our Marketing Manager and Maria on Instagram and You Tube.
Keep video files and projects organized and meet production deadlines.
Add
captions, B-roll, graphics, music and images where appropriate.
Participate in content planning and bring ideas to the team.
Improve hooks, pacing and storytelling while preserving Maria’s natural voice.
Edit
long-form You Tube videos, Instagram Reels and You Tube Shorts

Turn longer videos and raw footage into compelling short-form content.
What You'll do:Repurpose
Maria’s extensive library of You Tube, blog and educational content.
- You have strong experience editing both long-form and short-form video and understand hooks, retention, pacing and storytelling.
- You can make expert or talking-head content engaging without overproducing it,
work independently from raw footage,
take feedback
well and contribute
creatively rather than waiting for every assignment to be spelled out. - Experience with founder-led, educational, lifestyle, home or interior-design brands is a plus.

- If you received a 20-minute video of Maria speaking to the camera, how would you decide which moments should become Reels?
- Give us one example of how you improved a piece of content beyond simply editing the footage you were given.
