Part-Time Internal Medicine Physician

Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a part-time General Internal Medicine Physician at Richmond Hospital, focusing on geriatric care in a collaborative setup. This role involves providing specialized medical services to elderly patients.

Richmond Hospital is seeking a dedicated physician to join its team within the Internal Medicine Department. In this part-time role, you will engage with a geriatric population, supported by Geriatrics and Geri Psychiatry. Responsibilities include managing ward patients, conducting new admissions, and participating in health care rounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medical care on a dedicated 32-bed geriatrics unit

• Conduct new patient admissions and ward rounds

• Collaborate with specialists and allied health teams

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

• Cover some night/home calls, compensated separately

Requirements:

• Full CPSBC license to practice in BC

• CCFP eligibility or equivalent

• CMPA membership required

• Previous experience with geriatric populations preferred

• Willingness to engage in teaching opportunities
