Pythagoras Academy Grade 4​/5 Teacher

Pythagoras Academy is in search of a dedicated Grade 4/5 Teacher starting January 9th, 2025. This full-time role emphasizes creativity and integration of the Fine Arts within the learning process.
The position covers for a teacher on leave until June 20th, 2025. You will personalize learning experiences and engage students through a curriculum focused on STEM. A valid BC Teaching Certificate and a Bachelor’s degree in education are necessary qualifications for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design lesson plans that align with BC Curriculum standards

• Assess and report on student learning and growth

• Serve as a communication link for parents and staff

• Encourage the use of technology in educational settings

• Promote a safe and inclusive classroom culture
Requirements:

• Possession of a valid BC Teaching Certificate or preparing to apply

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education

• A strong commitment to school values and student development

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Understanding of Attachment Theory in educational settings
