About The District

With a long history of providing high‑quality experiences for students, the district operates 37 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, alternate programs, continuing education and a number of additional facilities.
The district enrolls approximately 22,000 students (K‑12) and employs over 3,000 dedicated staff.
The Richmond School District is now accepting applications for both elementary and secondary Teacher in Training (TTOCs). Candidates who are applying prior to completing the Education program should provide as much of the application as possible. If a document (e.g., practicum report) is still pending, submit a PDF with the expected submission date.
Required Qualifications- Successful completion of a Bachelor of Education.
- Successful student‑teaching experience.
- Certified or eligible for certification with the Ministry of Education – Teacher Regulation Branch.
- Registration or eligible for registration with Teacher Qualification Service (TQS).
- Cover letter
- Resume
- Final practicum reports from both Faculty and School Associates (may follow later)
- Academic transcripts, including undergraduate (may follow later)
Salary is according to the Teacher’s Collective Agreement. The current salary range is $65,074.00 to $ annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
