Salary Range: $24.54 To $27.19 Hourly

Developmental Disabilities Association is seeking an on‑call Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our Early Learning programs. We value ongoing professional growth, offer on‑the‑job training, and foster a supportive and collaborative work environment. Our Child Development Centres are fully inclusive, play‑based, and family‑centred, creating meaningful experiences for all children and families.

The Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) provides an enriched program for children and meets the needs of families in the community. The ECEA also provides opportunities for children with both typical and special needs to interact on a daily basis. The ECEA works in conjunction with the Manager to ensure the needs of the children are met.

• Completion of BC Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certification, or currently enrolled in an ECE Programme, and holding an ECEA certificate in the interim (minimum availability of 2 days).
• Special Needs and/or Under 3 Certification is an asset but not required.
• Criminal Record Clearance.
• Medical Clearance.
• Valid First Aid/CPR.
• Non‑violent Crisis Intervention Certification (training provided if needed).
• Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

This position requires union membership.

DDA is a CSSEA employer paying JJEP collective agreement rates; WE funding is not paid above the ECE wage.
