The Department of Sustainable Agriculture is seeking an NR2 faculty to teach in the areas of Soil Science, Business and Economics, Agroecology, and Animal Agriculture. These courses are part of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Sustainable Agriculture.
Successful candidates will be responsible for covering the relevant topics in the context of sustainable agriculture and food systems, including expertise in sustainable production systems and agroecology. They will work with the department faculty in the development and delivery of these courses and support in content development will be provided.
The Sustainable Agriculture degree program at KPU provides students with a unique learning experience designed to address the pressing issues in our food system such as climate change and social justice. Students are immersed in experiential learning through classroom, lab, and field‑based research and teaching.
QualificationsThe successful applicant requires fluent English, a minimum Master’s degree (PhD preferred), and a demonstrated record of teaching experience.
Salary InformationPlacement on the salary scale will be dependent on level of education and relevant teaching experience. Advancement up the pay scale is based on FTE and employment status.
