Join the Learning Services team as a School Psychologist focused on success for all learners and diversity, equity, and inclusion within education. This position emphasizes collaboration, consultation, and assessment.
In this role, the School Psychologist engages with teachers, parents, and community agencies to promote effective educational changes. Key duties include planning for classrooms, performing psycho-educational assessments, and developing IEPs. Additionally, you'll facilitate professional learning opportunities for staff enhancing educational approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consult collaboratively with teachers and parents
• Implement pre-referral interventions and ongoing planning
• Conduct psycho-educational assessments based on needs
• Develop and contribute to educational plans such as IEPs
• Provide training on assessment and intervention techniques
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in school or educational psychology
• Licensing/eligibility with CHCPBC for school psychology
• Teaching certification with BC Teacher Regulation Branch advantageous
