Position: Elementary English & Math Tutor Hill)

Overview

Part‑time Elementary Teacher/Tutor – Oxford Learning Richmond Hill West. Focus on teaching English, Math, and French to elementary students.

Responsibilities (Position Details)
  • Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
  • Conduct both online and in‑person sessions using Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Help students build self‑confidence and self‑esteem through supportive coaching.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
  • Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience considered.
  • Teaching certification an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 9 curriculum.
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 9 (or equivalent) level.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
  • Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Working Hours

After‑school and evening hours Monday–Thursday: 4:00pm–8:00pm.
Saturday mornings: 9:00am–1:00pm.
Preferred commitment from September
2025 until the end of the school year; continued service through the summer is advantageous.

Location

In‑person position at Oxford Learning Richmond Hill West: 9325 Yonge St, Unit
15, Richmond Hill, ON. Applicants must be local and able to commute; relocation packages are not available.
