As a Teacher Consultant, you will join a provincial outreach team focused on enhancing educational access for deafblind students. Your work will include collaboration with school professionals to create individualized support systems and provide resources for meaningful inclusion. Additionally, you will engage in professional development, offering workshops to share knowledge around deafblind education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess the unique needs of deafblind students
• Collaborate on developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Facilitate meaningful inclusion through programming recommendations
• Deliver workshops and training on deafblind education
• Provide ongoing consulting support for educators
Requirements:
• Experience in K-12 education settings
• Specialized training in deaf blindness highly regarded
• Proven experience in educational support services
• Preference for candidates with Master's level credentials
• Valid BC Driver's License; regular travel needed
