NLC is hiring a knowledgeable online instructor for Paleontology 201:
Life of the Past, starting December 2026. Teach students about the interconnectedness of geological and biological changes through Microsoft Teams.
This temporary role offers 96 teaching hours from January to April 2027. You will cover significant evolutionary events and their implications, emphasizing interactions among geology, climate, and organisms. Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, requiring you to maintain high engagement for student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach about Earth's evolutionary history and extinction events
• Motivate and engage students in a virtual learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues across academic departments
• Deliver content effectively through Microsoft Teams
• Develop materials catering to diverse learning needs
Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Paleontology is required
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• Commitment to fostering student motivation and collaboration
• Prior teaching experience in higher education is advantageous
• Ability to teach inclusively to diverse student groups
