Richmond Public Library serves the community of Richmond, BC, and seeks a dedicated Librarian I to support library services. You will leverage your Master’s degree in Library and Information Science to create programs tailored to diverse community needs. A strong commitment to service excellence and community engagement is essential as you proactively respond to patrons and adapt innovative library services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide reference and readers’ advisory services to diverse users
• Engage patrons to develop relevant programs and collections
• Evaluate and recommend materials for library collections
• Organize and present at outreach events and school visits
• Deliver training modules for staff and public on digital resources
Requirements:
• ALA accredited Master’s degree in Library Science
• Demonstrated experience in program planning and delivery
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, innovative environment
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
