Position: Richmond School Counselor Opportunity
Make a difference as an Elementary School Counselor at Az-Zahraa Islamic Academy in Richmond, BC. This full-time role is essential for supporting students' academic and emotional journeys from Kindergarten to Grade 7.

As part of the Az-Zahraa team, you will play an integral role in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborating with families to empower students. Your compassionate approach will foster a positive school environment while enhancing personal growth and academic performance for each student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate individualized planning and counseling sessions

• Develop and maintain supportive educational programs

• Ensure effective anti-bullying training is provided

• Collaborate with staff on student welfare and support

• Track and report counselling progress using metrics

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or counselling

• Knowledge of Islamic principles is essential

• Experience in school counseling settings

• Effective communicator and empathetic listener

• Strong organizational and proactive skills
