Biology Laboratory Instructor at KPU

Kwantlen Polytechnic University is hiring a Biology Laboratory Instructor to join its Faculty of Science team on an on-call basis. This role focuses on providing effective instruction and guidance in a lab setting.

As a Laboratory Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering coursework while ensuring compliance with safety regulations in the lab. You may work independently or collaboratively with faculty and other instructors, assisting in achieving educational goals. A solid background in biology and teaching experience will enhance your candidacy for this impactful position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in various biology lab courses

• Guide and assess students’ lab performance

• Maintain laboratory equipment for practical sessions

• Ensure compliance with WHMIS and safety regulations

• Facilitate a safe and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology;
Master’s preferred

• Proven teaching experience in biology is an asset

• Strong knowledge of lab techniques and safety measures

• Effective communication skills in English

• Willingness to travel between campuses
