On-Call Educational Assistant

Richmond Christian School is seeking Educational Assistants to join our on-call EA pool.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment towards Christian Education and an ability to anticipate the needs of a diverse group of learners. The ideal candidate also demonstrates a foundational knowledge in working within the Positive Behaviour Support framework.

The Educational Assistant (EA) will work to support students, under the direction of the classroom teacher, both class wide as well as in small groups or one-to-one. The EA should have strong collaboration and communication skills in order to work best with classroom teachers and should show flexibility to best meet student needs. On-call EAs will have the opportunity to be assigned work from our Elementary, Middle and Secondary campuses depending on the experience and interest of the EA.

• Current certification from an accredited Educational Assistant Program or related certification such as Behaviour Interventionist or ECE, or related educational background
• Evidence of course work or experience with exceptional and unique learners

• Clear evidence of sincere Christian faith
• Alignment with the community standards of RCS and a commitment to uphold these standards.
• Committed to the Mission, Vision and purposes of Richmond Christian School
• Availability and willingness to pick up shifts once employed as an on-call EA
