We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Co-op Quality Engineer . This position reports to the Director of Quality and will work in Vancouver, B.C.
Please note that this position is open to current students enrolled in a Canadian accredited university and co-op program.
Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.
As Co-op Quality Engineer on the Vancouver team, you will play a key role in supporting our organizational goal of achieving ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification. You will be involved in diverse tasks that support environmental compliance, sustainable operations, and collaboration with administrative, engineering, and technical staff throughout the facility. We work to tailor projects and objectives to our students’ skillset, experience, and, most importantly, interests.

Assist in developing, refining, and organizing documentation required for ISO 14001 certification:
- Support environmental aspect/impact assessments across manufacturing and office operations.
- Help conduct internal audits, gap assessments, and compliance checks aligned with ISO 14001 requirements.
- Participate in developing corrective and preventive actions related to environmental performance.
- Support the rollout of EMS processes, training materials, and communication tools.
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and visualizing environmental performance metrics (waste, recycling, air emissions, energy, water usage, etc.).
- Help improve environmental reporting systems using Excel, Power Query, SQL, or Power BI.
- Support trend analysis and help identify improvement opportunities for environmental KPIs.
- Lead and execute Continuous Improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
- Automate repetitive data-related tasks and improve existing scripts using Power Shell, Macros, and Power Query.
- Assist engineers in developing work procedures and instructions using MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Forms.
- Wide variety of tasks – usually 2-3 projects on the go at a time
- Great supervision and mentorship but also get to work independently – guidance-based leadership and self-directed learning
- Supportive engineering and technical staff throughout the facility
- Great comradery among the co-op students, as well as, with the engineers
- Exposure to both worlds of product development and manufacturing processes since we do it all in one facility!

- Must be enrolled in an Engineering program at an accredited university
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks
- Strong proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; and the ability to learn other applications quickly
- Experience with data Query tools (SQL, Power Query, Power Automate), programming/database development, and Power BI is an asset.
