Acuren is seeking a Structural Integrity Engineer in the Pacific region to drive structural safety and integrity initiatives while strengthening our Engineering team.

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. - Start Date:
Immediately - Salary Range:
Up to $85,000-$125,000 per year, depending on experience and certifications.
The candidate will use their structural engineering skills to review structures, design repairs, and prepare drawings. They will guide junior team members and ensure projects are on time, on budget, and meet client needs.
- Structural review, inspection and repair design of existing buildings and equipment, including structural steel buildings, material handling equipment, temporary work platforms, industrial equipment, and lifting equipment.
- Prepare and seal drawings for designs of temporary work platforms and their attachment to existing infrastructure/structures.
- Follow construction safety guidelines.
- Monitor on‑site construction processes and provide technical support for construction projects.
- Mentor less experienced staff and provide technical support to the engineering team.
- Additional expertise (mobile crane/platforms annual certification, finite‑element stress and thermal analysis, condition assessment, fitness‑for‑service assessment) would be an asset.
- Diligently manage through all phases of a project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Proactively engage with clients to build rapport, enhance relationships, and navigate difficult conversations.
- Strive for process improvements by creating comprehensive reports aligned to client needs and identifying solutions, then recommend implementation.
- A university degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (or immediately eligible) with Engineers & Geoscientists of BC.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including conveying systems, bulk loading and unloading equipment, building structural design, and structural support systems for process equipment.
- Experience conducting inspections and repair designs for buildings, pressure equipment, tanks, piping, infrastructure at ports, marine terminals, mines, and a range of bulk material handling equipment such as ship loaders, ship unloaders, reclaimers, and rail‑car dumpers.
- Experience with repair design for concrete, steel, and timber.
- Demonstrated success in project management and use of tools to track and communicate budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, maintaining high‑quality deliverables, and communicating clearly and timely.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Solid Works, and other CAD design and analysis software.
- Familiarity with BCBC, NBCC, CSA S16, CSA S6, CSA W59, and other relevant design codes.
- Familiarity with common structural design software (e.g., Solid Works Beam Analysis, S‑Frame, Sky Civ).
- Valid BC driver’s license.
