Senior Systems Service Specialist/Engineer
As a Senior Systems Service Specialist/Engineer, you will be the trusted technical expert on-site, supporting installation, commissioning, and ongoing service of complex automation systems. You’ll ensure reliable system performance while delivering a strong customer experience.
What will you do:- Install, start up, and commission systems at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across hardware, software, and networked systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades
- Develop upgrade plans and ensure systems are up to date
- Lead testing activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Take technical ownership of projects, from specification through commissioning
- Train customers on system operation and maintenance
- Act as the main technical contact for customers and support sales when needed
- Identify performance gaps and recommend improvements
- Degree in Engineering or diploma in Engineering Technology or other related disciplines such as Computer Science or Process Control.
- 5+ years of related experience, including industry knowledge
- Minimum of 3+ years’ hands on experience with Foxboro DCS.
- Experience with HMI software, PLC’s, DCS system and field instrumentation.
- Experience with Triconex, Modicon and Wonderware systems (asset)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to travel over 60% in the BC region
The compensation range for this full‑time position, which includes base pay and short‑term incentive, is $81,600-$122,400 for B.C. residents. Salary ranges are determined based on roles of similar responsibility and level, and within the range, pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
