Electrical Project Coordinator
A well-respected and growing electrical contractor in Peel Region is actively seeking a dedicated, career-driven Electrical Coordinator/Jr. Project Manager to join their team. This agile group is on the lookout for future leaders, and you will receive direct mentorship from the lead Senior Project Manager.
You will play a key role in optimizing overall project performance and maintaining a close working relationship with your mentor and the Senior Project Manager. This collaboration aims to ensure construction projects run seamlessly, meeting both time and budgetary objectives.
Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager in achieving project objectives.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and regulations.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of construction schedules.
- Monitor project progress against established timelines.
- Aid in the preparation of contracts and participate in negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Assist in budget analysis, cost, and margin projections.
- Estimate project changes and assess their impacts.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control programs.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with customers and suppliers/vendors.
- Generate progress reports and distribute progress schedules to clients.
- Manage document control processes.
- Assist in the procurement of necessary supplies and materials for project completion.
- Electrical Engineering, Construction Technical Diploma, or equivalent trade experience and knowledge.
- 4+ years of experience in a coordinator role, preferably in electrical contracting or electrical engineering.
- Working knowledge of Accubid software and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Basic understanding of the construction industry.
- Ability to read drawings, with some exposure to design-build projects preferred.
- Planning and scheduling skills.
- Competency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- Basic understanding of project forecasting and projections.
