Join General Fusion’s mission as a Diagnostics Engineer and impact the future of energy. Work at our Richmond, BC lab focused on advanced plasma diagnostics and technology development.
This role in our Diagnostics Team requires a strong background in physics to maintain and innovate measurement systems for magnetised plasmas. You will engage in key diagnostics projects, including ownership of the ion Doppler spectroscopy systems for critical data analysis, enhancing our path to commercial fusion energy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the ion Doppler spectroscopy plasma diagnostics
• Plan and troubleshoot plasma measurement systems
• Document and communicate designs and experimental results
• Analyze data while linking theory and simulations
• Support interdisciplinary collaborations for project success
Requirements:
• MSc or PhD in a related physics field
• Minimum 3 years in an experimental lab setting
• Experience with instrumentation and optical systems
• Proficient in Python or MATLAB programming
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
